It started with something moms see every day, but probably don’t stop to think about.
Your baby wakes up with a soft, relaxed little belly. Then comes a bottle. Breakfast. A nap curled up against you. Another feeding. Sitting, stretching, breathing, playing. By the end of the day, it’s the same baby. But not quite the same shape. Their belly gets fuller and relaxes again. Their legs curl and stretch. Their whole little body changes throughout the day.
And once we really noticed that, we couldn’t stop thinking about the diaper around them.
A traditional taped diaper is fitted at one particular moment. You put it on. Pull the sides into place. Fasten the tapes. But your baby doesn’t stay exactly as they were in that moment.
So why should their diaper?
That simple question made us want to rethink something parents depend on every single day. Not just improve a diaper. Rethink what a diaper could be. And that led us to another question: If you wanted to create something truly different, something where performance, beauty, precision and thoughtful design all mattered, where would you go for inspiration? For us, the answer was Italy.
And suddenly, we were looking at things differently
Italy has a way of pulling you into the details.
You hear a church bell beyond the piazza. A Vespa passes over the cobblestones. Sunlight catches the warm façade of a building that has stood for generations. You notice the details: the way fabric drapes, the stitching on a leather bag, the effortless proportions of a chair. Nothing is shouting for your attention. Yet you start paying attention anyway.
Because beauty is often found in the things someone chose to care about. How a material feels. How a curve meets the body. How something functions. How one small adjustment can transform the experience. That is what stayed with us.
What if a diaper were designed with that same attention to detail?
A diaper is something your baby wears for hours at a time, day and night. It sits against their belly. Around their legs. Against skin you want to keep comfortable and protected. And yet there are countless details inside a diaper that most parents should never have to think about.
- The fibers.
- The materials.
- The stretch.
- The shape.
- The way everything sits against a body that keeps changing.
Italy inspired us to look more closely at all of it. To think about a diaper the way a designer might think about fabric against the body.
- How does it move?
- How does it stretch?
- How does it respond when the shape underneath it changes?
- How can something highly engineered feel completely natural to the person using it?
Because that, to us, was the beauty of what we were seeing in Italy. So much thought behind something that ultimately feels effortless. And isn’t that exactly what parents need? Parenting already comes with enough decisions, adjustments and second-guessing. A diaper should simply work with your baby.

With every meal, every nap, every breath, a baby's body is constantly changing shape.
Yet for decades, diapers have stayed the same, fixed, rigid, unresponsive, relying on just two tight pressure points, leading to discomfort and leaks.
To reinvent something so essential to everyday life, we traveled to the birthplace of Italian craftsmanship, the cradle of design, the capital of fashion.
Here, where beauty and precision have always gone hand in hand, we set out to design a diaper that should be crafted not just to protect, but to respond, to fit perfectly, continuously.
So we created Panolini, the first responsive diaper designed to adapt in real time to your baby's changing body, with soft, stretchy, shape-shifting fibers that keep them comfortable and secure.
Just one perfect fit for every moment of the day and night. No leaks, more sleep, more time for what truly matters.
For the first time, innovation and style come together, creating a diaper as beautiful as it is smart.
Designed in Italy, made to respond to your baby's changing body.
Babies’ bodies change shape throughout the day, while traditional taped diapers remain fixed. This insight inspired Panolini to create The Responsive Diaper, designed to adapt as a baby’s body changes.
So we went back to the question that started everything
Your baby’s body changes. What if their diaper could respond? That became the thinking behind Panolini’s Shapeshifting Fit. Instead of creating a fit at one moment and expecting it to stay right as your baby’s body changes, Panolini was engineered with soft, stretchy fibers designed to respond around them throughout the day.
Their belly gets fuller. The fit responds.
They curl up for a nap. The fit responds.
They stretch, breathe, sit or move. The fit responds.
Movement matters, of course. But that’s not the whole story. Your baby’s body is changing even when they’re not going anywhere. While they’re eating. Sleeping. Breathing. Lying peacefully in your arms.
That is the baby we wanted to design around. Not a baby frozen in one moment. A real baby, changing all day long.
Italy gave the idea a design philosophy
We already understood diapers. The team behind Panolini brought more than 30 years of hands-on diaper manufacturing and engineering experience to the process. What Italy gave us was another way to look at what we already knew. Don’t accept something simply because that’s how it has always been done.
Look closer.
Respect the materials.
Pay attention to how something meets the body.
Care about the details people may never consciously notice.
Bring beauty and engineering together.
And make all of that complexity feel simple in the end.
We didn’t go to Italy simply to make a more beautiful diaper. We went there because we wanted to create something beautifully considered. Something designed around the baby first.
And that became Panolini

We created Panolini for the baby as they really are, not for one fixed moment in their day. A diaper shaped by decades of manufacturing experience, Italian design and technology, and one simple belief: If your baby’s body keeps changing, their diaper should be able to respond.
